That is a serious looking truck I love it! It's a mini Tundra in the best way possible! I think it is the new TRD Pro as @TacoFreak mentioend.

It's missing somethings that the Trailhunter would have and I'd highliy doubt it's a lower trim model.

I agree that the new Taco TRD Pro is a serious looking truck, and that it is in the best way. It looks tough and capable but does not scare small children like many full size pickups do.

I am coming out of a Tundra that I love, but the newest ones are too large, too tall and to me too ugly. My worry was that Toyota might use the same ugly stick on the new Taco that they used on the Tundra.

I now have no worries though, because based on what I have seen so far, it is pretty much my dream truck.

Maybe some more dribbles tomorrow from that tease Toyota?

I agree. I have really liked that concept from the first time I saw it, and it appears to be very close to the production Taco.

So while we have been guessing what the next Tacoma might look like they mostly showed it to us a long time ago and we didn't even know it.

Yes. It was part of a big presentation from Toyota to prove they were serious about electrification. But that was more than a year ago and way before Akio Toyoda stepped down. It's my understanding that a bunch of what they teased has since been cancelled or delayed.

Toyota has always kept designs of different versions of the same model mostly the same. It's only with special models that they take a different approach, like the bZ4X. Without that EV styled grille, the Tacoma EV concept passes as an ICE model.

I remember when I first saw that electric concept and thinking that I would definitely get a new Taco if it looked anything like that. But concepts are usually just a tease and what you can buy is not nearly as cool.

I am really starting to think Toyota got this design right and the new Taco will continue to be the best midsize truck on the American market.
