surprisingly there's a GR hilux so that should give us Americans some hope

I forgot about the X-Runner!

I'd kinda prefer a GR Tacoma went the TRD Pro direction and took it further as a full-blown Raptor fighter.
More lift, wider track, and the V6 i-FORCE MAX from the Tundra.

If rumors are true, we'll likely see the Tacoma turned into a Raptor rival before the Tacoma. Toyota made this one-off desert truck that sort of hints at what's to come.
