Getting back into pickups
I drive a 18' Camry SE at the moment and can't wait to get a Tacoma again.
Had a first gen Tacoma SR5 as my first vehicle and later sold it for a Lexus IS300 because I wanted something sporty. Then from the IS to a Camry cause the IS crapped out and I needed something reliable ASAP!
Likely getting a 4th gen Tacoma SR5 or something better if my budget allows.

I know a few that are pissed.
I've started seeing that too. I get why they're upset but I think the four cylinder will be more than capable for the new truck. Hopefully those people come around and don't just turn into angry trolls.Safe to say the lack of a V6 will be a downside to older SR5 owners.

The V6 to turbo four thing is going on across the whole industry, so people will more or less have to accept it. There are even some large German luxury cars with turbo fours and I don't see them going back.
That said I love a V6, but I predict that the turbo four is going to be a great engine for this truck.

Yeah there was a huge shock to Mercedes fans when they announced that the C63 AMG was switching from the V8 to the 2.0-liter four cylinder.
