With the exciting news that Toyota is keeping the manual transmission in the Tacoma, are you going to order your truck with a manual? Or will you get an automatic?

If you're on the fence, what do you need to know about the manual for your to make your decision?

MT all the way while we still can. But by going manual I might miss out on some things that require an automatic transmission, like some driver assistance tech and maybe some special off-road function they might work in.
Long time MT fan in all kinds of vehicles, but I would like to see what engine that comes with. Probably a turbo base engine, which could be another great truck drivetrain from Toyota. Not a showoff but a real get the job done vehicle.

So I voted yes and I would definitely like to own a manual Taco again. The manual 2023 Tacos are impossible to find, at least in the Midwest, so it might not matter to me anyway.

I expect it to be available only in the lower level models, which will make a brilliant entry level truck. It will be a real truck and a great value compared to the high line models.

I think that the new Taco will a reinvention of the midsize truck and keep it out in front for many years. Toyota gets too little credit for all of the innovation they have done in many segments.

I'm in the same boat. I want to own a manual, so I voted yes, but It will come down to the packages and how much is available with the manual. On the flipside I wouldn't be disappointed with auto either.

As much as I'd love to get a manual, and I'm happy Toyota is still offering it for enthusiasts, but for a daily driver I need the automatic version. I don't have the patience to use a manual in stop and go traffic.
