9 pm EST time is when the 3rd gen Tundra world premiere was held. I have a feeling that it's also around when the Tacoma will be revealed on Friday.

I don't mind throwing off my sleep schedule and making up for it over the weekend if it means seeing the Tacoma and reserving one ASAP. Sort of tired with the dinosaur of a Tacoma we can buy currently, been waiting for this for so long!

I'm guessing there won't be any online reservation thing... that doesn't seem like something Toyota will go for.

Even with online reservations you are at the mercy of your local dealer. Visit them and find one that is willing to talk and take a reservation. I have two choices in the area I am moving to this summer., both of which take Toyota reservations. By late Fall I will have one on order, I am sure.

Journalists are in Hawaii to review the Grand Highlander.
Obviously it's part of a build up to the Tacoma, Toyota needs a proxy to keep things low key.

One weird note about that countdown clock. It's not aligned to the debut later tonight, but seems to be counting down to something 10 hours later.
I'm assuming that's just when Toyota USA plans to update their product page on toyota.com?

So what do we think? Is this going to be a quick reveal or is this going to be a large drawn out presentation? Usually with car companies it's one extreme or another.

I am guessing long and drawn out, just like all of the dribbles of information until now.

They might open with some quick images to get people excited and then get into a bunch of PR goofiness. Things like the Toyota way, the importance of the Tacoma and then work into how this gen moves an icon up to a new level. I just want to see the models and drivetrains but I think they will make us wait for that stuff.

The videos, just like the new Taco are awesome. My life is crazy right now and I just could not stay awake but the truck and the first videos were worth the wait.
