Toyota shared new teasers of the 2024+ 4th Gen Tacoma today. In one photo '040423' appears on the license plate likely hinting at the official reveal date. If true, April 4, 2023 is when we'll finally see the new Tacoma in full. The new Tacoma is the blurry grey truck in the second photo, and the caption is making light of the patent leaks, "Patented good looks..."

Toyota filed these patents for the next-gen 2024+ Tacoma design, giving us a clear look at what the new pickup truck looks like. It seems to take styling cues from the new Tundra.
Even better eye on your part. I think that's the 4th Gen Tacoma TRD Pro, it resembles these patents. Hopefully Toyota doesn't keep us waiting beyond April 4 to see TRD versions.
It sure goes with their caption "Patented sure looks good...". Everything points to the patents being the real deal, what a way to build up excitement ahead of the reveal next week!
Toyota has once again teased the reveal of the new Tacoma, but they did give us a piece of information. It's going to have the i-FORCE MAX hybrid technology that's used in the Tundra. Whether that's going to be in a four-cylinder engine and/or a V6 remains to be seen...
That might have been the "big" news for today after all. I think we all suspected a hybrid in the new Taco and I would guess that it will have a turbo four-cylinder engine as the top engine. Based on other Toyota products the base engine might be a smaller turbo four.
