@ONEZ ST Strange. I bought the Canadian flaps about a year ago, and mine do not have that tang and they fit the outline of the body perfectly. Did they maybe give you the wrong flaps?

That is odd, mine don't have that tab either. Maybe they changed the design. Here's a picture I took of the Canadian Flaps next to the US Flaps to show the difference. The front mud flaps are on top, the US mud flaps are on the left.

Is that maybe for trucks with the fender flares? I know when I got my Weathertech ones they have two SKUs, one for flared trucks and one without.

When I got my Canadian mud flaps, there were two different part numbers, but I don't know what the difference is between them. I got the set everyone else was getting and recommending since I didn't know the difference. Thinking back, it seems one was slightly smaller than the other and I got the larger size, but my recollection could be wrong. I have the Limited and it does have the fender flares. After looking at how mine fit, It's pretty easy to tell that little tab actually slips in between the fender flare and the inner wheel well liner. Maybe the other part number was for the models with the fender flares and I got the wrong pair! They still work great, so no going back at this point!

This is what I ordered and received. Looking like I purchased flaps for fender flared configuration. Doh!

It is 35R50 that I should have ordered. Oh well, its an easy fix. The tab sticking out is solid and soft enough to carefully nip off. Time to get the hoof trimmers out and go to work.
